Doch woraus besteht das Universum eigentlich? Diese Frage versucht die Kosmologie zu beantworten. Und die erstaunliche Antwort ist: Nur zu 5 Prozent aus der Materie, wie wir sie auf der Erde und in Sternen kennen. 95 Prozent des Universums besteht aus Substanzen, die unbekannt sind: Dunkle Energie und Dunkle Materie! Doch was ist die Dunkle Energie, die zu einer beschleunigten Ausdehnung des Universums heute f\u00fchrt? Und was ist die geheimnisvolle Teilchennatur der Dunkle Materie? K\u00f6nnen vielleicht die erst vor Kurzem entdeckten Gravitationswellen dabei helfen, diese fundamentalen offenen Fragestellungen zu beantworten? Nach Postdoc-Aufenthalten in Kanada und an der RWTH Aachen wurde sie 2020 zur Professorin f\u00fcr Theoretische Gravitationswellenphysik an die Goethe-Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt berufen. Ihre Forschung verbindet Gravitationswellenphysik eng mit Kosmologie, Astro- und Teilchenphysik und zielt darauf ab, grundlegende Fragen wie die Validit\u00e4t der Allgemeinen Relativit\u00e4tstheorie und die Natur von Dunkler Energie und Materie zu beantworten.<\/p>\n<\/details>",
