studying microscopic properties of QCD matter at high densities with heavy-ion collisions, study of electromagnetic structure of baryons with hadron beams, phenomenology of HIC and instrumentation. She is Group Leader \u201cQCD Matter Research\u201d in the department HADES at GSI and Professor of Experimental hadron- and nuclear physics at the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Darmstadt. In 2012 she was awarded a Helmholtz Young Investigator Group \u201cExploring Quark Matter with Virtual Photons\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She is member of HADES, CBM and STAR Collaborations. She is the recipient of the 2013 R\u00f6ntgen-Preis, of the 2009 Preis der Freunde und F\u00f6rderer der Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt. She is Speaker of the Topic Cosmic Matter in the Laboratory within Helmholtz Program \u201eMatter and the Universe\u201c, Member of the DFG Review Board FK-309-01 \u201eKern- und Elementarteilchenphysik, Quantenmechanik, Relativit\u00e4tstheorie, Felder\u201c and member of various editorial boards and committees. She has published more than 80 papers (1 Nature Physics, 8 Phys.Rev.Lett., 14 Phys. Lett. B, 29 Phys. Rev., 22 Eur.Phys.J. A).
