Diesen und weiteren wichtigen Fragen widmet sich Dr. Chanda Prescod-Weinstein in ihrem Buch The Disordered Cosmos \u2013 A Journey into Dark Matter, Spacetime, & Dreams Deferred<\/em>, und erkl\u00e4rt dabei nicht nur auf eing\u00e4ngige Weise die Themen, an denen sie forscht, sondern zeigt auch anhand zahlreicher pers\u00f6nlicher und historischer Beispiele, welch gro\u00dfe Rolle Rassismus, Frauenfeindlichkeit und Kolonialismus immer noch in den Naturwissenschaften und dar\u00fcber hinaus spielen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Chanda Prescod-Weinstein ist Assistenzprofessorin f\u00fcr Physik und Astronomie und Lehrbeauftragte f\u00fcr Frauen- und Geschlechterstudien an der University of New Hampshire, USA. Sie ist eine von weniger als 100 Schwarzen Amerikanerinnen, die im Fachbereich Physik promoviert haben und arbeitet als theoretische Physikerin in den Bereichen Teilchenphysik, Kosmologie und Astrophysik. Dar\u00fcber hinaus forscht Dr. Prescod-Weinstein in Black feminist science, technology, and society studies.
