At the end of May, ELEMENTS submitted a draft proposal for the upcoming round of the German federal and state governments’ Excellence Strategy. For the past two years, we carefully prepared the proposal with the support of the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and the Arts.
The application is lead by Goethe University, with TU Darmstadt as co-applicant. Along with the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt, the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS) and the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn joined the project. With CERN, we have an additional partner to tackle our fundamental-physics questions in the future.
