Jens Braun works at the interface of the theory of the strong interaction, ultracold atomic gases, and low-energy nuclear physics, transferring knowledge and methods between these fields to explain the phase structure and thermodynamics of imbalanced fermionic matter.

Since 2018 he is a DFG Heisenberg Professor at TU Darmstadt. He has published about 60 papers in refereed journals, including 6 papers in Physical Review Letters. The complete list can be found on INSPIRE, which also reports more than 3000 citations with h-index 28.
