First image of Black Hole Sgr A* revealed

It is hard to miss these days when every news website and newspaper (not to mention Twitter) is giving it the attention it deserves: The first image of the Black Hole Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*) in the centre of our Galaxy! After eager anticipation within and beyond the scientific community, it was finally revealed on 12 May by the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration, which was co-founded by our spokesperson Luciano Rezzolla. He and his team played a key role in creating the image of Sgr A* by theoretically underpinning the astronomical observations with extensive computations.

Congratulations to everyone involved on this outstanding achievement!!
